The much anticipated exhibition "Latvian Exile Art" opens on May 9, 2013 in Rīga, Latvia at the Latvian National Museum of Art's (LNMM) Arsenāls Exhibition Hall (Torņa ielā 1).



Guna Mundheim, who served as both Vice-president and President of ALMA (2002 - 2009), has just completed a one-person exhibition in Philadelphia at the GrossMcCleaf Gallery in September 2011.

Born in Latvia April 28,1927.

Since 1949 in USA. Education in art, environmental design.

University of Nebraska (B of Arch.), Ecole des Beaux Arts, France (diplome), University of California ,Berkeley, San Francisco Academy of Art. About 40 years of work experience in architecture, art and related fields in USA, Europe, South America, Saudi Arabia. Widely traveled with history studies. Lectured at San Francisco State College, College of Arts & Crafts, and to seminars and at Latvian youth camps. As an artist exhibits in numerous group shows. Since 1964 honorary life member in near residence Marin Art Society (Board of Directors and president), serves on juries, exhibit curator. One-man shows in Latvia (1983), San Francisco (1974/77/79). Owner of architectural illustration and digital graphics firm and art gallery co-owner.

Published in Who's Who in California, Who's Who in Interior Design.

Member-emeritus of American Institute of Architects (AIA), also founding member
of American Latvian Art Association (ALMA), and other professional organizations.
Awarded the Three Star Order from the government of Latvia.
