I create abstract wood constructions. I enjoy building things. For years I have developed series of works painted in black and series in white. Less often I construct a series of multicolored sculptures.

More recently I am exploring wood in its natural color and textures. Wood is an organic material that lends itself to an endless amount of creative ideas.

Zane Treimanis, a Latvian American artist born in Germany, now resides in Brooklyn,
New York. She is a graduate of Pratt Institute and has exhibited in numerous galleries.
