Born in Riga, Latvia. Painter.
Works in watercolor, oil, mixed media.
Arrived in the US in 1949. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania
(BA), continued studies in painting at PAFA and The Grad School of Fine arts
at the U of P. Lecturer in fine arts at the U. of P. ’80- ’87, Assistant
Dean in College,U.of P. .(‘78’-present). Solo exhibitions include:
Veiherte Gallery, Riga, Latvia(‘04), GrossMcCleaf Gallery, Phila., Pa.
(“97,’91), Rosenfeld Gallery(’89,’84), U of P Burrison
Gallery (’84), Phila Art Alliance(’77,’72) and others. Serves
as board/committee member numerous Philadelphia and New York art organizations
(Print Center, PAFA, LBI Art Foundation, New School University). Vice-president
of ALMA.
